Earwigs

• They  belong to the order of Dermaptera and are characterized by a pair of pliers that serve as defense and attack.
• Earwigs are associated with a legendary terror story that says that, during the night, they drilled into our ears and brain. In fact their English name, earwig, or French, perce oreille, refer to their ears.
• Nothing further from reality: Earwigs are mostly omnivorous, their preferences being alive or dead plants … They have nocturnal habits and we can be found under flowerpots.
