Germs are tiny organisms that may provoke disease. They are so microscopic and hard to detect they may enter the organism without notice. To spot them, we should use a microscope. When they enter the organism, we don’t know whe have them until the presence of symptoms of the attact show up as indicators.
A pathogen, also called pathogen biological agent, is the one that produces disease or damage in the host’s biology, be it human, animal or vegetal.
It is important to clarify not all of these microorganisms are pathogen, only the ones causing disease on the host are.
Besides, they are organisms that exist in the environment in a natural way. Therefore, they exist and we must learn how to live with them.
In order to combat them it is enough to apply certain minimal proper patterns, strict though, regarding cleanliness and hygiene. This way, we will be able to control the pathogen germs: ventilate our home daily, clean with products including disinfectants, paying utmost attention to cleaning the common areas where there may be contact (knobs, phones, etc.)
We are constantly exchanging pathogens: at work, in the gym, when we are with friends… That’s why the frequency with which we clean must be high so that pathogens don’t pile up and we reach a moment where they win the battle and we get sick.
